Uninstall setpoint

Wierd, but unsolved Wed Jan 09, am OK I found the orig disk and 'reinstalled' the mouse drivers. That gave me a different interface for adjusting the mouse speed, etc. I then 'installed' the wireless mouse drivers, and it was willing, and able to 'uninstall' the old software.

When I went to finish its installation, it again told me to uninstall the conflicting software; at which point the error message returned. So I downloaded a newer version of Setpoint. Trying to install it hangs the computer XP, SP2 requiring using the reset button to reboot. In the drivers section of MyComputer, it lists Microsoft drivers for the mouse it used to list Logitech drivers. I believe that the Setpoint software enables add'l features of the mouse.

It probably isn't working anymore since I can find it only in ControlPanel, the new MS software certainly thinks it's there, and Task Manager doesn't see it. Any more suggestions? MixedPower Gerbil Elite. Wed Jan 09, am It may be detecting some leftover files that weren't deleted when you uninstalled Setpoint.

Problem seems solved Wed Jan 09, pm I removed all the Setpoint files but still couldn't remove the program. With Antivirus turned off I installed the later version of Setpoint, which worked this time.

Then I was able to install the new mouse Intellipoint software. It never asked that I remove anything. In fact, the MS mouse software links to the new Setpoint software on one of its tabs Now everything seems to be fine! Thanks for the suggestions and help.

Previous Next. Dec 5, 8, 53 It didn't show any the "my mouse" tab which i was told was supposed to be there can someone confirm? Aug 20, 8, I would then reboot and reinstall the program. It should install fine and have the tab you mentioned.

I have it on my computer with the MX and it works fine. Synomenon Lifer. Dec 25, 10, 6 You would think that would already be in Setpoint 4.

It usually works that way, but you must remember to stop the app before you attempt an uninstall. Old Hippie Diamond Member. Oct 8, 6, 1 0. Louisssss, what problems have you been having with SetPoint? NP OH I've had that problem before where a program uninstalled very quickly and it really didn't uninstall. It's not a SetPoint problem. More of a Windows problem. One way to fix it is to reinstall the same version of that app.

Setpoint, on some of the buttons, will only let you select certain functions. Install SetPoint. If it doesn't show the MX Revolution when you open SetPoint, close SetPoint right click on it in the taskbar and exit it then install that patch I linked to above. After those steps, close SetPoint right click on it in the taskbar and exit it then install uberOptions.

Not sure in uber as I do not use it yet. But in Setpoint on the main mouse menu, where it shows the mouse picture, you select which button you want to customize, then select from a drop down of choices. Or if you need to enter a Key Combo if that is what you need. Should be similar in uber.
