Stag and doe joker game

Using any kind of item that has matched pairs two sets of playing cards, or many different sets of nuts and bolts , hand them out and whoever first finds their "other half" wins a prize. These are games where the prize isn't money or an item, but an experience or the avoidance of an unpleasant experience. Guests may put money into either jar to vote. The winning jar determines if bride and groom have to sing a song later in the evening.

You can calculate the winning jar by height of fill or by value total. Build or rent a "jail", and nominate two of your volunteers are "sheriffs". Guests may pay to put their friends in "jail". Guests in jail are not allowed to talk, drink, or use their cell phones. Jail fees are set at an amount per number of minutes, and jailed guests can buy bail at double the original amount. Guests can also buy single-use "get out of jail free" cards during the event from the sheriffs to avoid going to jail in the first place.

Alternatively, it's a "penalty box" and guests are placed there by "referees". Guests may buy this "insurance" at entry.

You can work it in one of a few different ways. Option: Guest gets an insurance card, stamp, or mark on purchase. If they win a prize and don't have it, they get a pie in the face. Option: Guests who decline insurance have their names taken down, and a name is drawn from the declined insurance list at the end of the night.

That person gets pied. There are a few different ways to run this. Option: Run it like an auction, with the highest bidder deciding whether the groom or bride gets pied, and throwing the pie. Option: Two money jars, one for bride, one for groom.

Judge by fill line or value total. Jars may be set out on the ticket table, or you can have each of the happy couple wearing a collection box to get the other pied. Also you can have a separate auction or contest for who gets to throw the pie. The "pie" is whip cream in a tin foil pie dish. You'll want some extra supplies like garbage bags to protect the victims' clothes or an available change of clothes and paper towel for cleanup.

Set fundraising milestones. For each milestone, do something to dress up the groom. Keep a big board with the current fundraising level on it where everyone can see it, and see when it's getting close to a milestone.

Things to do to the groom: paint his nails, get him to wear a dress usually a mock wedding dress or old bridesmaid dress. Have the bride remove his garter with her teeth. Dances with the wedding party. If he's game, for high milestones you could wax him a little! Run a raffle or auction for the members of the wedding party to perform actions for the winner. This can be just about any action - from carrying their drink around for an hour at the event, to mowing their lawn.

Guests are sold tickets to a draw, where half the pot is up for grabs, and the other half goes to the wedding couple. Tickets are sold individually, as well as by the "arm's length". Prize packages are set out all evening to be viewed. Guests can purchase raffle tickets to put in bags or containers alongside each prize package, and draws are done at the end of the night.

Winning ticket numbers are either called out over the sound system, or are written on large poster boards. Often there are regular and "grand" prize categories with separate ticket types. The prize is locked in a box, or has a locked chain around it, along with a large bowl full of keys.

Guests "buy" a key from the bowl. If the lock opens, they win it. An alternative to this is a coded lock and guests buy a chance to try a code on it. You can do this with your own lock and keys or rent the game from a party game rental store. Take a standard 52 card deck and tape each of them face down on a board.

Guests pay to write their name on a card. Some rental places also offer combination security boxes where instead of the key, guests try guessing the code to unlock the box. A special prize of decent value is placed on the floor. Tape a line about 10 feet away from the prize and let guests toss toonies to try to get their toonie closest to the prize. The person with the toonie closest to the prize when the game is ended wins the prize.

There are essentially three rules. Guests can pay the sheriffs to put someone in jail. Cards are single use only though. When guests arrive they are asked if they want to buy insurance.

Some events use live minnows for guests to swallow instead of the pie. Poor little fishies. Our experience has shown that having this added convenience almost always leads to higher profits and overall participation among party guests. Find out with our new electronic basketball game.
